For Seattle’s Ltd. Art Gallery comic book themed show in March, I decided to do a mashup of Tales from the Crypt and American Splendor, merging the Cryptkeeper and Harvey Pekar drawn in the style of famed Splendor artist Robert Crumb. The quote is a Pekar line that I found fitting for the Cryptkeeper.
The original 11”x14” piece will be available for purchase as well as 20 prints. http://www.ltdartgallery.com/

Legendary charactor actor Tim Curry really needed a tribute homaging his most favorited roles. The lineup includes charactors from his various TV and films: IT, Fern Gully, Home Alone 2, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Clue, Tales from the Crypt, Annie, Legend and a slight nod to Muppets Treasure Island (I’m not the greatest fan but felt the need) as Darkness wears an “I Heart M.T.I.” button.
Painted as if they are doing a photo shoot together, this painting measures 15”x18”, acrylic on illustration board.
For this month’s http://www.planet-pulp.com/ theme (mustaches), I picked Bill Murray’s Saturday Night Live character “Nick the lounge singer”. One of my favorites. 11”x14” watercolor & acrylic

So I do what I like to call “Re-Paintings” where I take an existing, usually boring painting at a thrift store, or a print sold at a thrift store and add something comedic to it.
This was a commissioned piece for a friend. We decided maybe some hunters hunting the My Little Ponies for sport would be nice.
One hunter is firing his musket while the other hunter is horrified at the sight unfolding.
I’m always up for doing this for others so if you find a painting or something at your local thrift store and want me to add something crazy to it, I’m totally game! Feel free to message me.
Hope you guys enjoy!

Sonic the Hedgehog art show update, switched my concept around. Still DeVito as Dr. Eggman/Robotnik. Hope you guys like the twist I plan on implementing.

Tom Atkins in Fred Dekker’s NIGHT OF THE CREEPS.
Big fan of this movie and recently gave this painting to the director/writer Fred Dekker personally at the Monster Squad/Night of the Creeps art show at Dark Delicacies store in Burbank, CA.
Great movie if you have never seen it. I highly recommend. It is so choice.
